RGB believes in giving back to our community. It’s our mission to create opportunities so people can live better. We consider it our responsibility to make a positive impact in the communities we serve. Bringing people together, inspiring change and making a difference in people’s lives – it’s all part of being a good neighbor.
To support our community and passion to serve, we created both Benevolence and wellness committees at RGB. These are RGB teammate volunteer groups advocating non-profit involvement and community impact. Through the efforts of these committees, RGB has collaborated with various non-profit organizations to include:
RGB understands the necessity of providing shelter for homeless animals, encouraging pet population control and preventing animal cruelty and neglect. A.D.O.P.T. is a “no-kill”, organization and is committed to helping abandoned and abused animals that end up in their shelter.
RGB believes in the Toys for Tots mission statement, in providing a tangible sign of hope to economically disadvantaged children at Christmas; to play an active role in the development of one of our nation’s most variable resources- our children; to unite all members of local communities in a common cause for three months each year during the annual toy collection and distribution campaign; and contribute to better communities in the future.
RGB has been supporting HSP for several years now. HSP helps in so many ways with the Christmas Offering, providing 150 impoverished families with three weeks of groceries, frozen meats, fresh produce and gifts for all the children. The Children’s Birthday Project, serves 925 children annually ages 3-15, and helps poverty level children whose parents have no other source for gifts. The Senior Citizen Project delivers each senior over 100 pounds of nutritious food each month. Fresh produce that includes 15 assorted fruits and vegetables, 7 different frozen meats, fresh bread, 6 bags of non-perishable food, paper towels, and facial tissue. Feed the Kids provides impoverished families with a grocery delivery during the summer months of June, July and August in order to supplement the diet of children whose federally-subsidized school meals provide most of daily nutrition. Each family receives 175 pounds of food each month.
BC4F provides birthday cakes and birthday supplies to financially or socially disadvantaged children and senior citizens. Their mission is to help others celebrate their special day in hopes that this one act of kindness will last a life time.
RGB believes it is possible to create communities that are free of domestic violence and safe for all. The mission of Family Shelter Service is to transform lives by offering help and hope to those affect by domestic violence.
